The SXSW-Webdeveloper-Conference 2005 (sxsw.org) has closed a couple of days ago. Man, I would LOVE to be there one day – if it wasn’t for the trip to Austin/TX ;) But for everybody who missed Zeldman, Meyer, Tantek, Hicks and the like, there’s some transcripts and slides out there at NewPRWiki. I guess the really cutting-edge-days of SXSW are over, but nethertheless there are some interesting topics to read. I’m just buying my sixth and seventh shirt from threadless.com. I don’t know if it’s just the first rays of sun in Germany, or my addiction to shirts in general. But hey, they’re so darned cheap (10$ each)! :D Plus, I can now get my daily fix of well-designed and meaningful clothing at “preshrunk, a weblog dedicated only to shirt-stuff.

So, heute ist Blog-Tag…viel zu schreiben, wenig Zeit. Und immer mit dabei der alte Konflikt zwischen weltoffener englisch-sprachiger Präsenz und dem leichten Schreibfluß der Muttersprache (in meinem Fall: deutsch). Ich habe mich entschlossen, zukünftig in deutsch ODER englisch zu bloggen, frei nach dem Vorbild von Thomas und Eva. Im Optimalfall wird fein säuberlich getrennt zwischen Projekt-News/Announcements auf englisch, und schnell dahingesauten Linktipps auf deutsch (da fängts schon an, wie würde ich “dahingesaut” auf Englisch schreiben?). Link-URLs kann schließlich jeder ohne großes Verständnis klicken… Apropos fein säuberlich: Das hier zähle ich mal nicht als “Annoucement” gg

Today I’ve stumbled across this wonderfully thoughtful and perfectly crafted 3d-short named “Delivery”. One of the best student-3d-films I’ve ever seen – I’ve watched it three times until now: one run for story, one for textures and one for rendering ;) And the most stunning: It was made by a media-student over at FH Mainz, as a diploma-work, ALONE!
